I Knew it Was Too Good to Be True

SNOW! Are you kidding me? It was almost 70 the other day! I took this opportunity to have a full day focused on starting potty training with Big Brother...and so far so good! All day he's only had 1 accident! I'm so proud of him!

We also spent the day playing together...I love watching Big Brother and Little Sister together, they both love each other so much! Here are a few pictures from our day...

Spring Appears to Be Near

I love getting the kiddos outside to play...it's so great to see not only the newness of spring but also the things that are new to my children. For Big Brother it's really been his first time to be truely independent. He can climb ladders and go down slides without needing me to be near him.

It's also been fun to see he's imagination...currently that means taking "Lightnin McQueen" everywhere (Rusteez and Dinoco version, and yes he knows the difference). At the park, making them race down the slide and bridge was the "cool" thing to do.

Unfortunately this particular day it was a little windy, so Little Sister stayed in the car with Daddy...she seemed to have fun!

This is Little Sister's first spring and she is enjoying it as well...she's pretty big on texture so she loved feeling the new grass!

Oh Sunshinin' Day

We have had some really nice weather days here recently (I'm a little scared that we are getting psyched up for a big storm). This afternoon we decided to go and eat lunch at a local park. Big Brother was all for it, he's been dying to play outside!

He becomes more and more independent everyday! He told me he was going to get a "Ribbit"

Little Sister really enjoyed the fresh air as well, how cute is she?!?!

Big Brother seems to make friends wherever he goes :) His face just glows as he interacts with other children and tells them his observations. These usually involve pointing out any "truck" he see's in the parking lot.

"At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me."
Matthew 18:1-5

I pray that my son never loses the comfort to be able to talk to random people and make them feel welcome and loved and that I can learn to be more like him everyday.

Fun in Rapid City

We are back from our visit in Rapid City and we definitely enjoyed our time! I have to say that we live in the BEST district in the country, with the BEST people ministering to God's children! Thank you Lord Jesus that you not only chose for us to serve you, but that you allow us to do it in a pretty cool place (I would say the closest resemblance of heaven on earth :).

The other great thing is that we get to see and spend time with family! Big Brother got to spend some time and play with one of his cousins.

They both enjoyed the pool, even though the water was extremely cold

And, of course a picture of Little Sister

She wasn't feeling very well, but she was a good sport. Praising the Lord that she is feeling better now and is finally back to her smiley self!
